Teaching Design Responsibility

For my final Undergraduate project at ASU, I choose to research, write and create my ideal course aimed at teaching students about the various roles of social responsibility within graphic design practice. I designed an "educator's guidebook" which contained course materials: syllabus, six different project descriptions, class handouts, reading assignments and visual examples (on CD). In addition, I designed promotional posters to advertise the course content.

Beyond designing a hypothetical course, I used this forum to advocate a change in design education by bringing in socially conscious content to its curriculum (a content area I identified as relevant, but missing from my own undergraduate education).
