I was co-instructor for Spring semester 2006 of the Fundamentals Graphic Design studio at NCSU. The semester was broken into five successive modules that built upon the previous projects. I taught the first 2-week (Module 01) and last 4-week poster assignment (Module 05).

Design Fundamentals Project: Hybrid Letterform

Module 01:
To begin the semester students were asked to craft a single unique hybrid letterform from both a decorative and book face. I focused on instilling a process of exploration, iteration and refinement in the students. The final glyphs were black ink on board.

The Course syllabus (pdf) was developed with Professor Will Temple.
